Age Requirements
Parents must be between the ages of 30 and 50 years of age; up to 55
for Waiting Child Program.
Both adoptive parents must be at least 30 years of age when your
dossier is logged in to the China Center for Children's Welfare and
Adoption (CCCWA).
Income Requirements
Joint income must be at least $10,000 per household member,
including the adopted child.
The family must have a net worth
(assets - liabilities) of $80,000 or more.
Marriage Requirements
The minimum amount of time that couples must be married before
adopting is 2 years.
If either person has been divorced, the couple must be married for
at least five years.
Each spouse can have no more than 2 divorces.
Single females are eligible to adopt through the Waiting Child
program. Restriction apply. Contact our office for more detailed
information.

If you have more than four children already living in the home,
please contact our agency and we will discuss your specific situation.
Health of the Adoptive Parents
Prospective adoptive parents must have a clean bill of health.
Special medical conditions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Both prospective adoptive parents must have a Body Mass Index (BMI)
of less than 40
Citizenship Requirements
At least one of the adoptive parents must be a U.S. Citizen in order
for Living Hope to facilitate your adoption.
Prospective adoptive families and orphans must also meet the
eligibility requirements of China, Citizenship and Immigration Services
(CIS) and their respective state laws.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SINGLES
Female single applicants are allowed to adopt special focus children listed on the Special needs System of CCCWA.
One applicant can only adopt one special focus child at a time, with an interval of at least one year between two adoptions.
Requirements:
The applicant shall have reached the age of 30 years and be under 50. For applicants over 50, the age difference between the child to be adopted and the applicant shall be no more than 45 years.
The applicant shall be healthy both physically and mentally according to the requirements by CCCWA for prospective adoptive couples.
The applicant shall be law abiding with no criminal records.
Net worth should reach $100,000.
Applicant should have good medical insurance which will cover the adopted child.
The number of children in the applicants family under the age of 18 shall be no more than two, and the youngest one should have reached the age of 6 years old.
